Description
For current conditions associated with a medical event or prescribed medicine during the year, where the person is in relative year 3 (RELYR), CONDRD7 reports whether the condition was first reported or selected in Round 6.
IPUMS MEPS reports the universe for each variable based on a thorough review of the original MEPS documentation. Investigating the data may reveal cases that do not meet the stated universe. Users are encouraged to validate universes for their analyses.
Starting in 2020, CONDRD7 and CONDRD6 were introduced due to an extended panel to adapt to changes from the COVID pandemic.
Related Variables
CONDRD7 can be used in conjunction with CONDRD1, CONDRD2, CONDRD3, CONDRD4, CONDRD5, CONDRD6, and CONDRN to determine when the condition was first reported and in which rounds the person was affected by the condition.
