Description

For persons eligible for the Self-Administered Questionnaire (SAQELIG), SFFLAG indicates whether values on PCS (SF-12 Physical Component Summary score) and MCS (SF-12 Mental Component Summary score) were imputed. In some cases, a value on PCS and MCS could not be computed because the amount of missing data was too great. In 2000-2002, these cases were marked as "Yes" for the SFFLAG imputation flag variable. In contrast, these cases were marked as "No" for the SFFLAG imputation flag variable beginning in 2003.

Comparability

The way that cases that had too much missing information to impute values for MCS and PCS were handled changed between 2002 and 2003. In 2000-2002, these cases were marked as "Yes" for the SFFLAG imputation flag variable. In contrast, these cases were marked as "No" for the SFFLAG imputation flag variable beginning in 2003.
