Description

For all persons, OPPHFEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures for hospital facility charges associated with visits to outpatient physicians by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding OPPHFEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary outpatient physician hospital facility charge expenditure variables. These variables include:

• OPPHFEXSEL: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians

• OPPHFEXOT: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources for hospital facility charges from outpatient physicians
