Respondent learned how to treat their diabetes from a doctor not in their primary care practice

For all persons given the Diabetes Care Survey (DCS), have been told they have diabetes, and have indicated that they learned how to take care of their diabetes in the last 12 months, DIALRNPHHP indicates whether the respondent learned to take care of their diabetes by a telephone call with a health professional.

DIALRNPHHP is one of a set of variables comprising the DCS, a supplemental, self-administered pencil-and-paper survey about how respondents treat their diabetes. For related variables and more information, please see DIACONF.
