Full-Year Consolidated files

The Full-Year Consolidated (FYC) files constructed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) are calendar year summary files containing annual and round-specific variables for MEPS participants. Each calendar year, the FYC file includes data for participants belonging to two different MEPS longitudinal panels: one in its first year of data collection and another that is in its second year of data collection. Annual variables cover such topics as total annual healthcare expenditures by type of care, payment source, and type of provider seen; annual and monthly health insurance type indicators; and health conditions. Round-specific variables cover a wide range of topics related to health status and medical conditions; healthcare access and utilization; and demographics.
