Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTRPRX indicates if the visit included relining or repair of bridges or dentures. DENTRPRX is the edited version of DENTRPR; values for DENTRPRX and DENTRPR are identical except for cases where the value of DENTRPRX was updated to reflect information about services received at the dental visit reported in DENTOTH. Beginning in 2017, information about whether the visit included relining or repair of bridges or dentures was combined with information about whether the visit included fixed bridges (DENTBRDGX) and/or dentures or removable partial dentures (DENTDTUREX) in the variable DENTPRSTICX.

DENTRPRX is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
