Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTPRSTICX indicates if the visit included fixed bridges, dentures or removable partial dentures, relining or repair of bridges or dentures. DENTPRSTICX is the edited version of DENTPRSTIC; values for DENTPRSTICX and DENTPRSTIC are identical except for cases where the value of DENTPRSTICX was updated to reflect information about services received at the dental visit reported in DENTOTH. DENTPRSTICX was introduced in 2017; in previous years, information about whether the visit included fixed bridges (DENTBRDGX), dentures or removable partial dentures (DENTDTUREX), or relining or repair of bridges or dentures (DENTRPRX) were offered as three separate variables.

DENTPRSTICX is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
