Description
For all eligible persons in Rounds 1, 3, or 5 (ELIGRD and ROUNDRD) who have ever been diagnosed with COVID-19 (CVDEVERRD) and are not deceased (PSTATSRD), CVD12MORD indicates if their most recent COVID-19 diagnosis was within the past 12 months. For more information about COVID-related variables, see the description for CVDEVER.
IPUMS MEPS reports the universe for each variable based on a thorough review of the original MEPS documentation. Investigating the data may reveal cases that do not meet the stated universe. Users are encouraged to validate universes for their analyses.
