For all persons, AMOPTEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid to ambulatory optometrists by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding AMOPTEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary ambulatory optometrist expenditure variables. These variables include:

• AMOPTEXSEL: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE to ambulatory optometrists

• AMOPTEXOT: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources to ambulatory optometrists
