For all persons, OBPHEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures for care from office-based physicians by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding OBPHEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary office-based physician expenditure variables. These variables include:

• OBPHEXSEL: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE to office-based physicians

• OBPHEXOT: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources to office-based physicians
