Annual total of direct health care payments by source of payment
Description
For all persons, EXPSRCPAY is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding EXPSRCPAY to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary expenditure variables. These variables include:
- EXPSELFPAY: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family
- EXPMCPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare
- EXPMAPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid
- EXPPRPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance
- EXPVAPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration
- EXPTRIPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE
- EXPOFPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources
- EXPOLPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources
- EXPWCPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation
- EXPOPRPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source
- EXPOPUPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source
- EXPOSPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources
- EXPPTRPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE
- EXPOTHPAY: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources
