For veterans (ARMFEV) who received health care services from any VA specialist other than their VA primary care provider or Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) in the last year (VET12MSPCAR), VET12MSPAWRNV indicates whether this VA health care specialist was aware of the health care services the respondent received outside the VA in the last year. The VSAQ questionnaire specifies that this question pertains to the VA specialist the respondent saw the most often in the last year other than their VA primary care provider or Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).

This variable is part of the Veteran Self-Administered Questionnaire (VSAQ), which was fielded in 2018 and 2019 and collected information on veterans' health conditions and health care services.
