RULETRRD reports the Reporting Unit (RU) of a member or members of a Dwelling Unit (DU) on the round record. An RU is a person or group of persons in the sampled DU who are related by blood, marriage, adoption, foster care, or other family association.

RULETRRD is a 1-digit alpha-numeric variable.

Comparability

In 1996, RULETRRD only includes persons eligible for data collection in rounds 1 and 2 of data collection; in subsequent years, RULETRRD is available for all persons. Otherwise, this variable is completely comparable across time.
