Description

For all persons, POPPIDRD reports the PIDRD of the person's father, if they are present in the household. AHRQ derived this variable from respondents' own reports during household rostering, and edited those reports to ensure consistency with each individual's age, sex, and other relationships in the household.

In 1996 only, POPPIDRD reports the PIDRD of the person's father only for persons who were eligible in rounds 1 and 2 (ELIGRD).

POPPIDRD is a 3-digit numeric variable.

000 = Father not present
996 = NIU (1996 only)
