For all persons, OBPAEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures for care from office-based physician assistants by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding OBPAEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary office-based physician assistant expenditure variables. These variables include:

• OBPAEXSEL: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE to office-based physician assistants

• OBPAEXOT: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources to office-based physician assistants
