For all condition-event link records, MEPSCLNKID uniquely identifies records on the condition-event link record. IPUMS MEPS staff create MEPSCLNKID to provide a single universal linking key for condition-event link records. MEPSCLNKID is created by combining MEPSCONDIDJ and MEPSEVNTIDJ.
