For all persons, ERFEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding ERFEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary hospital facility expenses for emergency room visit expenditure variables. These variables include:

• ERFEXSELF: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits

• ERFEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE for hospital facility expenses for emergency room visits
