For all persons, DVGEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for general dental care expenditures by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding DVGEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary general dental care expenditure variables. These variables include:

• DVGEXSELF: Annual total direct health care payments for general dental care made by self/family

• DVGEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by Medicare

• DVGEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by Medicaid

• DVGEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by private insurance

• DVGEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by the Veterans' Administration

• DVGEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by TRICARE

• DVGEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by other Federal sources

• DVGEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by other State and local sources

• DVGEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by Worker's Compensation

• DVGEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care from other private source

• DVGEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care from other public source

• DVGEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by other unclassified sources

• DVGEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by private insurance and TRICARE

• DVGEXOTH: Annual total of direct health care payments for general dental care made by all other sources
