Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTSLNTX indicates if the visit included sealant (plastic coatings on the back teeth). DENTSLNTX is the edited version of DENTSLNT; values for DENTSLNTX and DENTSLNT are identical except for cases where the value of DENTSLNTX was updated to reflect information about services received at the dental visit reported in DENTOTH.

DENTSLNTX is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
