Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTRADIO indicates if the visit included x-rays, radiographs, or bitewings. Responses recorded in DENTRADIO are unedited; an edited version of DENTRADIO is available in DENTRADIOX. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality advises analysts to use the revised versions of the dental visit variables in their analyses but also makes these unedited versions available.

DENTRADIO is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
