CVDLONGACT
Long COVID-19 symptoms impact activities

Description

For adults age 18+ who responded yes to ever having symptoms of COVID-19 that lasted 3 or more months and who did not have these symptoms prior to having COVID-19 (CVDLONG), CVDLONGACT indicates how much those symptoms impacted their ability to engage in normal day-to-day activities.

CVDLONGACT is one of a series of Long COVID questions introduced to the MEPS as a Priority Condition in 2022. For more information about how MEPS defines Priority Conditions, please see PRTYCOND, and for more information about COVID-related variables, see the description for CVDEVER.

Children under the age of 18 were asked the series of questions about Long COVID, but their responses have been suppressed for confidentiality reasons. In the IPUMS, these children are coded as Not in Universe.
