Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTWHITX indicates if the visit included bonding, whitening, or bleaching. DENTWHITX is the edited version of DENTWHIT; values for DENTWHITX and DENTWHIT are identical except for cases where the value of DENTWHITX was updated to reflect information about services received at the dental visit reported in DENTOTH.

DENTWHITX is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
