Description

For all dental visits (EVENTYPE = 5), DENTRTCNLX indicates if the visit included a root canal. DENTRTCNLX is the edited version of DENTRTCNL; values for DENTRTCNLX and DENTRTCNL are identical except for cases where the value of DENTRTCNLX was updated to reflect information about services received at the dental visit reported in DENTOTH.

DENTRTCNLX is one of a set of dental visit variables reporting the type of dental provider seen, the dental services received, and the total expenditures overall and by payment source associated with each dental visit.
