Monthly Indian Health Service health insurance coverage
Description
For all persons, IHSMM is a set of constructed monthly health insurance variables indicating whether they have Indian Health Service coverage in a given calendar month. The Indian Health Service is not considered a public source of coverage. By adding IHSMM to your data cart, you are in effect adding 12 monthly health insurance coverage variables (IHSJA-IHSDE), one variable for each calendar month.
The IHSMM variables are provided only to assist in editing and should not be used to make separate insurance estimates for these types of insurance categories.
