Description

INSCOPRD specifies if the person was in scope during the round. A person is considered in scope if he or she a member of a MEPS household, and is a member of the U.S. civilian, noninstitutionalized population. A person's in scope status is reassessed at each round.

Comparability

In 1996, INSCOPRD only includes persons in rounds 1 and 2 of data collection; in subsequent years, INSCOPRD is available for all persons. Otherwise, this variable is completely comparable across time.
