For all persons, OPFEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures for hospital facility expenses associated with outpatient medical providers by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding OPFEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary outpatient provider hospital facility expenditure variables. These variables include:

• OPFEXSELF: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers

• OPFEXOTH: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources for hospital facility expenses for outpatient providers
