For all persons, OBNPEXSRC is a set of summary expenditure variables indicating the total amount paid for health care expenditures for care from office-based nurse practitioners by source of payment during the current calendar year. By adding OBNPEXSRC to your data cart, you are in effect adding fourteen annual summary office-based nurse practitioner expenditure variables. These variables include:

• OBNPEXSEL: Annual total direct health care payments made by self/family to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXMC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicare to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXMA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Medicaid to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXPR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXVA: Annual total of direct health care payments made by the Veterans' Administration to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by TRICARE to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOF: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other Federal sources to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOL: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other State and local sources to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXWC: Annual total of direct health care payments made by Worker's Compensation to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOPR: Annual total of direct health care payments from other private source to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOPU: Annual total of direct health care payments from other public source to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOS: Annual total of direct health care payments made by other unclassified sources to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXPTR: Annual total of direct health care payments made by private insurance and TRICARE to office-based nurse practitioners

• OBNPEXOT: Annual total of direct health care payments made by all other sources to office-based nurse practitioners
